Bonnie Carter's AirstreamBonnie Carters Marthas Garden

Alice and her Wonderland have inspired or influenced many works of art and entertainment over the years and Bonnie has taken her art to a new form with collage, watercolor, acrylic and more with “Down the Rabbit Hole”.

Bonnie Carter Featured Artist

In 2006 Bonnie took a watercolor painting class at her local library and fell in love with its fluidity and transparency.  As an emerging watercolor artist, she was published in "Artist's Magazine", winning third place in the Student Division with her painting of "Lori's Luscious Pears".  Since then she has won numerous awards in local shows.  She paints almost daily in her home studio and joins six other women (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Paint Brushes) once a week.

All artists get a little frustrated with their medium and begin to look beyond it and other forms of creativity. Bonnie picked up a book by a well-known acrylic abstract artist and immediately became interested and excited by this new medium.  She started experimenting with acrylics to produce heavily textured impressionistic paintings as well as interesting collage pieces using digital pictures, old magazine pages, fabric, corrugated cardboard and various ephemera.

Refreshments will be served.

Open to the public free of charge.
