May Featured Artist

Lucille Morse

Sculpture should be intriguing and cause the viewer to be curious enough to investigate the piece. I am constantly striving to go beyond what I already know by exploring new shapes and different ways of putting things together. I like to make statements with my sculptures and paintings. I conceive and create, not create and defend. I choose to work primarily in traditional materials, such as wood, stone and bronze because I believe art should not only physically endure time but also be timeless in its relevance to humankind.
